Hello pirates!
We had a few hiccups during distribution during Open House; please help the yearbook staff by checking your yearbook cover and making sure you have the correct order. If you did not receive your yearbook order or if there is an issue with your book, please email me at knighta@crane.k12.mo.us. I am working with our publisher to rectify the issues I know about, and I should have yearbooks for everyone who ordered in September.
Additionally, if you would like a 2024/2025 yearbook, we are planning to order more copies as we completely sold out of the extra copies we had! Please email if you would like to be included in the next order of books.
It’s always humbling to see what works and what doesn’t work, and I learn something new every time I manage this process. Thank you for your patience and your support!

What is up with all the cones? Stay tuned for elementary drop off and preschool pick up procedures for the upcoming school year!

The Missouri Retired Teachers Association Foundation announced one of our second grade teachers, Ms. Maddy Swearingen, was a recipient of the MRTA Foundation Grant. She received a check for $500 to spend towards reading supplies for reading materials! What a great start to a school year! Thank you, Linda Holt, for coming to present her with the grant!

Our 2023/2024 yearbooks have arrived and may be picked up this Thursday during Open House (August 15th | 4:30 - 6:30 pm). We will have signs posted around the school to direct you to our pickup location by the Library.

If your Jr High or High School student did not turn in their chromebook at the end of the year last year, we need you to bring it in to the high school office this week. All students are supposed to turn in their chromebooks at the end of each school year or at the end of summer school.

3 year old preschool update!
Crane R-III did receive a grant to fund one section of a three year old preschool program for this school year! Enrollment for this class will be limited therefore eligible students will have to live within the district and turn three before August 1, 2024. Due to overwhelming response, there will be a waitlist for this class as well as attendance requirements. At this time enrollment is full with an active waitlist. We are excited to have this opportunity this year!

The elementary office will be open during the hours listed below for the remainder of this week and next week (August 7-16). There will be times that the office has to close due to meetings/training. Please call us at 417-723-5300 ext. 902 if you are unable to come during open hours.

Community blessed is an understatement! This morning members from New Life Fellowship, New Hope Church, CSCO, and staff gave the elementary walls a refresh. Thank you to everyone who came out and donated precious time to make our school better!

Our teachers and administrators have been spending their last two days of summer learning at the GOCSD Innovation Summit! We are proud of the high percentage of staff who are eager to learn new strategies for our students. #goinnovate24
